What are the three essential elements of your wardrobe?
Jean Slvrlake “London” high waist that highlights my buttocks. A nice black blazer – I have so many that I have a blazer problem, but most often I wear Alex Perry’s “Alex” blazer. And an interesting top; anything by Christopher Esber.
A “Q” necklace – my daughter’s name is Quinn. Plus, some Area crystal hoops – they make everything more special.
Do you remember a favorite outfit from your childhood?
When I was four or five, I had a beautiful cotton dress with a daisy print that I wore with a denim vest. I wanted to wear it all the time, but my mom made me stop when it no longer covered my butt.
And your worst fashion mistake?
It’s delicate. I don’t believe in fashion mistakes – I like to experiment with trends. But my biggest regret would have been slipping into low rise jeans when I was 18; they were so tight! Fortunately, the 2000s revival is executed in a more flattering silhouette.
What’s at the top of your wishlist?
The Balenciaga “Track” sandals – they’re a bit sci-fi, a bit orthopedic. I love big shoes.
Is there something you would never wear?
Long wrap dresses with ruffles and flowers; I am not a bohemian girl.
What’s a current fashion trend that you like?
I’m a fan of the double denim look, this ode to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. It’s a provocative denim, like the fitted vests and tight lace-up flared jeans from EB Denim.
What shoes do you wear most often?
Nike “Dunks” and the big “Zoom Air Fires”.
Who is your favorite fashion icon?
Carrie Bradshaw forever. She breaks the rules, she shows off her figure and she’s not ashamed of her style.
What do you wear on a typical workday?
An Aya Muse crop top with loose pants and Michael Lo Sordo “Boy” sneakers if I’m transferring stock. If I have VIP-style dates, I dress more: a black mini Khaite A-line, a cropped shirt, a blazer and Paris Texas knee-high boots, for example.
What’s your casual Sunday look?
Something stretchy but cute: Nagnata shorts, Set Active sports bra and t-shirt. It’s my baby-sun-exercise-relax day.
The new Désordre store will open in Armadale, Melbourne, in November.
