Bill Belichick is still his own fashion icon

It’s hard to tell Bill Belichick what to do after arguably the greatest head coaching career in NFL history. Belichick made nine Super Bowl trips with the New England Patriots, and he won six championships. Life has been tougher since Tom Brady moved to Tampa Bay, but Belichick remains the same guy he always was.

Case in point: Belichick always likes to show up to games as if he had just gotten out of bed. As the Patriots moved to face the Carolina Panthers On Sunday, Belichick gave us another iconic outfit as he entered the stadium.

Weird sweatshirt choices? To verify. Sweatpants rolled up for no rhyme or reason? Oh yes. Crisp white knee-length socks with white shoes? You know. No one does a fashion show like Belichick.

Belichick of course has a long history of amazed us with its style choices. The man coached a game last year, as if he came straight out of a Rambo movie. He’ll wear the same outfit two days in a row and won’t care. For Belichick, comfort is king, and it means nothing to him if the rest of the world thinks he looks like a redneck.

No one told Belichick to dress for work in Carolina, because his name was Bill Belichick. All this man does is win soccer games and dress like someone who has totally given up on life. It’s a lifestyle choice that has brought him here, even if we continue to laugh at his outfits.
